Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Kerrville seeks a Senior Groundskeeper to maintain hospital grounds, gardens and parking areas with leadership of a team of groundskeepers. You’ll operate mowers and related equipment, oversee schedules, and ensure safe, efficient grounds maintenance.

The role requires experience in groundskeeping, ability to train others, and flexibility for overtime or extended hours.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) months of experience as a groundskeeper or similar role.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver license or obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed, fertilize, and maintain hospital grounds and flower beds.
• Lead and prioritize work for other groundskeepers to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Train others to safely use power and gas-operated equipment.
• Oversee sprinkler systems and perform routine maintenance to tools and equipment.
