Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) months’ experience as a laborer, gardener, groundskeeper, or similar work.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver license or obtain it within 90 days after hire date to drive a state vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility in work hours and potential overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work a specific shift schedule or rotating schedule.
• Performs groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and planting trees and shrubs.
• Performs general maintenance, repairs, and construction work for the hospital.
• May participate in disaster response/COOP activation or other duties as assigned.
