UMES is seeking a dedicated Grounds Supervisor to lead the groundskeeping team across campus. You will plan work, supervise crew, and ensure safety and quality in lawn, garden, and outdoor facilities.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, snow removal, reporting, and training staff, with certification requirements within one year of hire. Benefits include strong retirement plans and tuition remission.

Qualificações

• Three years in groundskeeping in a lead/supervisory role.
• Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment.
• Must be computer literate and able to perform arithmetic.
• Willing to obtain pesticide/herbicide applicator certification within 1 year.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise grounds maintenance activities including lawns, gardens, shrubs, and trees.
• Plan, assign, and review work and train staff.
• Handle snow removal and apply de-icers as needed.
• Maintain equipment operation and safety readiness.
• Prepare reports and ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Assist in outdoor fields and athletic facilities maintenance.
