Job summary

Bering-Alaka'ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Sr. Laborer to support our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i. Under supervision, you will perform general laborer tasks, grounds-keeping, sprinkler repair, and operate landscape equipment.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain a Secret clearance, have a high school diploma, and four years of related experience; a CDL is preferred. The job involves physical work outdoors, lifting over 50 pounds, and varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years' experience in a direct or related field to the position.
• Must be knowledgeable of sprinkler systems.
• Must be capable of acquiring the skill and knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment associated with the trade.
• Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
• Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses: Heavy Machine Operator, Lift Truck, Tractor, Bobcat, Ditch Witch, Backhoe and Loader.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Secret security clearance required or able to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim grass, edge, prune hedges and trees.
• Repair sprinklers and minor water leaks.
• Fall protection qualified; trim trees over 50 feet.
• Operate equipment: riding mowers, weed-eaters, pole trimmers, chain saws.
• Maintain and safeguard equipment, tools, and materials.
• Follow verbal/written instructions; observe safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Work includes lifting over 50 lbs; varied conditions including weather.
