Job summary

Bering-Alaka'ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Sr. Laborer to support our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i. Responsibilities include grounds-keeping, operating mowing equipment, repairing sprinklers, and tree work with fall protection for >50 feet.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, four years’ related experience, knowledge of sprinkler systems, and the ability to obtain state licenses such as Heavy Machine Operator and Backhoe. CDL is desirable.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in a direct or related field to the position.
• Must be knowledgeable of sprinkler systems.
• Must be capable of acquiring the skill and knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment associated with the trade.
• Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
• Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses: Heavy Machine Operator, Lift Truck, Tractor, Bobcat, Ditch Witch, Backhoe and Loader.

• Efficient with all grounds-keeping functions such as mowing & trimming grass, edging, pruning hedges and trees.

Office conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 50 pounds, with 2 man assist. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact with field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CDL (desired)

• Secret Security Clearance Required (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
