Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial projects in the Washington, DC area, including schools and multifamily developments valued at $50 million and above. Qualifications

• 10+ years of superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor.
• 5+ years in ground-up commercial construction.
• Experience on projects $50M+ in value.
• School and multifamily builds in urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for ground-up commercial projects, including schools and multifamily developments.
• Manage all phases from site prep to project completion, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field staff, and vendors to maintain productivity, quality, and safety.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, adjusting to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to align field activities with goals.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections, and address issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
• Oversee site logistics, including materials, equipment, and access.
• Communicate updates and risks to stakeholders for tracking and closeout.
• Review drawings and specs and provide field input as needed.
