Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to lead integration, verification, and testing for complex ground system environments in support of mission operations. This on-site role is based in El Segundo, CA with a 9/80 work schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ground systems, VI&T, and MILSATCOM/Satcom experience, plus an Active Secret clearance. Proficiency with Cameo and DOORS and a Bachelor's in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in ground systems, V&V, or systems engineering programs.
• Experience with ground systems, C2, mission operations, and software integration into operational systems.
• Experience with MILSATCOM, SATCOM, Space Force programs, ground stations, or C2 environments.
• Strong background in Ground System Verification, Integration & Test (VI&T).
• Proficiency with Cameo and DOORS.
• Leadership, mentoring, and ownership of integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground system integration, verification, and test activities within complex command & control environments.
• Review system requirements, interfaces, and architectures to ensure successful software and system integration.
• Develop and execute integration strategies for new software builds and deployments.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across subsystems and support system-level test and verification events.
• Coordinate with software engineering, systems engineering, requirements, and IPT leads to support milestones.
