Job summary

ZP Group in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to lead VI&T activities for defense communications and mission operations programs. This on-site role follows a 9/80 schedule and requires strong systems integration and testing leadership within C2 environments.

Qualifications include 14+ years in ground systems or systems engineering, an active Secret clearance, experience with MILSATCOM/SATCOM and C2 software integration, plus proficiency with Cameo and DOORS.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in ground systems, systems integration, V&V, or systems engineering.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Experience with C2 systems, mission operations, and software integration.
• Experience supporting MILSATCOM, SATCOM, Space Force, ground station, or satellite operations programs.
• Strong VI&T experience.
• Proficiency with Cameo and DOORS.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground system integration, verification, and test (VI&T) activities.
• Review requirements, interfaces, and architectures to support system integration.
• Develop integration strategies for software releases and deployments.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and support system-level testing.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to achieve program milestones.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
