Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to support defense-focused programs in El Segundo, CA. The role is on-site with a 9/80 work schedule and will lead integration, verification, and testing for complex ground system environments supporting mission-critical operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in ground systems, C2 environments, and MILSATCOM/SATCOM programs, plus a Bachelor's in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and an active Secret

Qualifications

• 10+ years in ground systems, V&V or systems engineering programs.
• Experience with ground/C2 systems, mission operations, and software integration.
• Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground system integration, verification, and test in C2 environments.
• Review requirements, interfaces, and architectures for successful integration.
• Develop and execute integration strategies for new software builds.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across subsystems and support system-level tests.
• Coordinate with software, systems, requirements engineers and IPT leads on milestones.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers through planning to execution.
