Lockheed Martin seeks a Ground Systems Engineer to provide real-time operational support for ground and space system software and equipment. You will maintain a large Linux-based environment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Remote Ground Stations and Satellite Control Network to ensure uninterrupted performance.

The role requires Final Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, knowledge of Linux, and a commitment to 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Must have Final Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Knowledge/experience in Linux environments
• Ability to support 24x7 operations
• Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Strong system troubleshooting and teamwork skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Provide real time, operational support for Ground and Space system software and equipment
• Ensure system functionality during operations and testing environments
• Perform maintenance for a large Linux-based system and related networking hardware
• Troubleshoot and document software and hardware failures
• Support configuration management during operations and upgrades
• Coordinate with Remote Ground Stations and Satellite Control Network
• Provide SME input to technical working groups and during anomaly resolution
• Document system deficiencies and provide guidance during failures and recovery
