Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) at Edwards AFB, CA, seeks a Principal Systems Administrator to support real-time Ground Systems used in flight operations. You will deploy equipment, configure accounts, and collaborate with partners to resolve data movement issues across systems.

Qualifications include STIG compliance, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. U.S. government Secret clearance is required; 24/7 on-call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant systems administration experience or an equivalent degree.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call status.
• Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Configure user, administrator, and service accounts.
• Work with partners to resolve data movement issues between Ground Systems and external systems.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in military flight operations environments.
• Adhere to checklists and procedures and provide redlines when necessary.
• Provide on-site end-user systems administration support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
• Provide systems administration support through updates, configurations, security patches, drawings, and feedback to Responsible Engineers (REs).
• Communicate complex technical issues to local support, MOBs, and REs.
