Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks a Principal Systems Administrator for our team at Eglin AFB, FL. This role provides real-time support for Ground Systems and ensures secure, reliable operation of multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Top Secret clearance or can obtain one, with extensive experience in STIG compliance, Microsoft Office, and on-site system administration. Flexibility for shift work is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or an Associate’s Degree and 7 years; or a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years; or a Master’s Degree and 3 years.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on-call 24/7/365.
• Ability to obtain/transfer and maintain final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Configure user, administrator, and service accounts.
• Coordinate with partners to resolve data movement issues between Ground Systems and external systems.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in military flight operations environments.
• Adhere to checklists and procedures and provide feedback for improvements.
• Work with a team to provide on-site end-user systems administration support 24/5.
• Support updates, configurations, security patches, drawings and feedback to engineers.
• Communicate complex technical issues to local support, MOBs, and engineers.
• Assist with trend analysis for engineers.
• Review supplier design data and define functional test requirements including acceptance and system integration.
