Job summary

KBR is seeking a Ground Software Systems Engineer to join the Mission Technology Solutions context. You will contribute to ground command and control software life cycle, from requirements to verification, ensuring secure DevSecOps practices and cloud-based deployment readiness.

Responsibilities span requirements analysis, software integration, and cross-team coordination with government and contractor partners. A TS/SCI with poly and extensive DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active/Current TS/SCI with Poly.
• BS Degree required.
• 9+ years of experience with a BS degree, 6+ years with an MS degree.
• Prior ground system experience in a major satellite program office or commercial SATCOM office.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with agile software development processes and metrics.
• Knowledge of acquisition, development and O&M practices for large, complex systems.
• Experience in DoD/IC acquisition process and program milestones.
• Familiarity with customer software security practices for software code implementation and design.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice/analysis on ground systems software requirements, design, installation, test, and operations support for the ground system’s command, control, configuration.
• Monitor and ensure overall system software adheres to requirements and coordinate with stakeholders for CONOPs.
• Assess evolving IA standards in context of planned product obsolescence.
• Provide day-to-day support to customer lead and develop briefing packages for SPO reviews.
• Support ground system software/hardware specification development and test planning.
• Monitor development, installation, and transition to operations of a cloud-based ground system.
• Oversee ground segment specification sell-off and verification activities across teams.
• Review software interface definitions to ensure complete requirement allocation.
• Coordinate with spacecraft bus development and ground systems software teams.
• Facilitate specification changes within the Program Office baseline.
