Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Ground Logistics Manager to lead land-based freight operations from Aiea, HI, supporting DoW logistics across the PACOM AOR. The role acts as the subject matter expert for trucking, drayage, line-haul, and other surface transportation, coordinating with port, air, and sea nodes and ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform in an arduous duty environment.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in freight transportation and surface logistics.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government, DoD logistics, or large-scale mission-driven operations.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee land-based freight transportation operations across the Indo-Pacific AOR.
• Evaluate and select motor carriers, freight forwarders, subcontractors, and transportation service providers.
• Monitor carrier performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and contractual requirements.
• Develop transportation plans, routing strategies, schedules, and execution requirements for routine, surge, and contingency cargo movements.
• Coordinate cargo movement between ports, airports, warehouses, customer locations, and project sites.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff and stakeholders involved in surface freight movements.
