Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Security Consultant - GRC to join its cybersecurity advisory practice.

This client-facing role demands hands-on leadership, translating complex security and regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes. You will help develop governance models, deliver high-quality consulting services, and mentor other consultants while collaborating with sales, project managers, and executives to drive successful client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, information systems, risk management, or related field.
• 7+ years of governance, risk, and compliance experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity advisory or internal audit in a client-facing professional services environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor on GRC, governance, and security program maturity.
• Lead and deliver client-facing engagements independently.
• Conduct governance, risk, compliance, and control assessments.
• Facilitate risk assessments and tabletop exercises for diverse stakeholders.
• Develop governance models, security frameworks, and data governance blueprints.
• Support internal audit readiness and remediation planning.
• Collaborate with sales, technical teams, and practice leaders to identify client needs.
• Contribute to practice growth by improving methodologies and mentoring consultants.
