Job summary

CIBC US is seeking a Senior Consultant, Business Controls – Practice Management, to lead the transformation of its 1B risk program within US CAO/TDAI. You will drive governance, risk and control enhancements, collaborate across lines of defense, and leverage analytics and AI to elevate reporting to senior leadership.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, process improvement, and advisory support to business partners in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management.
• Strategic thinker with ability to see the big picture and develop long‑term plans.
• Innovative problem solver with creative, resourceful approaches.
• Collaborative team player with ability to influence across the three lines of defense.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and assess GRC strategies aligned with risk appetite and governance.
• Design and implement Practice Management framework around issues, control and incident management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and 2LOD to drive efficiencies and monitor compliance.
• Utilize data analytics and AI to strengthen reporting to senior leadership.
• Provide training, consultation and tools to teams on risk management.
