Job summary

Salesforce in McLean, VA seeks a seasoned information security professional responsible for owning security program areas with minimal guidance. You will help adopt new security requirements, drive compliance initiatives, and advise partners on governance across Salesforce Government Cloud and federal interfaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, accreditation, and related areas.
• Experience with Government Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS/IaaS/PaaS models.
• Experience in security analysis, metrics, dashboards, and summarizing large data sets.
• Ability to translate between business and technical domains.
• Strong relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across management levels.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (FedRAMP, DoD SRG).
• Proven commitment to learning, innovation, and adapting to new skills.
• Proficient in Agile environments and prioritization under ambiguity.
• Strong analytical and process development abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
• Drive process improvements and implement automated solutions.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams (developers, admins, executives, regulators).
• Experience engaging with Authorizing Officials in federal agencies (DoD, DISA).
• Proven experience in Compliance Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives across stakeholder organizations to reduce compliance risk.
• Support change management with federal authorization bodies.
• Support security pillars within Salesforce Government Cloud including monitoring, advisory, incident response, AI adoption, and security documentation.
• Consult with business or security stakeholders on information security requirements.
• Build relationships with business, legal, HR, Internal Audit, engineering, and other stakeholders for security requirements.
• Focus on continuous improvement of processes and automation for efficiency.
• Communicate accreditation positions and programs to stakeholders.
