Job summary

Malleum is seeking a very senior governance, risk and compliance specialist to lead our strategic GRC engagements and scale advisory services across space, aerospace, and defense sectors. You will advise CISOs, CIOs, CROs, and boards, translating regulatory complexity into pragmatic, mission-aligned programs.

This remote role requires travel to client sites, typically Ontario-based, and offers leadership, mentoring, and impact across national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cybersecurity and GRC with senior leadership experience.
• Proven track record standing up and scaling Cyber Resilience Programs for large enterprises.
• Deep expertise in CMMC Levels 1–3 and CPCSC requirements; familiarity with NIST mappings.
• Hands-on advising clients in space, aerospace, and defense; ITAR/CGP familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF 2.0, NIST 800-53/171/172, ISO 27001/27005, ITSG-33, SOC 2; privacy regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive-level GRC advisory engagements across space, aerospace, and defense sectors.
• Stand up and mature Cyber Resilience Programs incorporating governance, risk, business continuity, third-party risk, and incident readiness.
• Advise C-suite and boards on cyber risk posture and strategic investments.
• Lead CPCSC and CMMC readiness activities including gap assessments and SSP/POAM coordination.
• Develop and audit enterprise risk management frameworks and KPI reporting.
• Mentor and develop senior managers and consultants to build bench strength.
