Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to lead complex grant-funded operations and ensure alignment between program strategy and budgets.

This home-based role partners with finance, legal, operations, and development teams to drive accountability and impact. Responsibilities include coordinating budgets, tracking spend, and delivering timely reports while fostering collaboration with grantees and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Strong experience with accounting, budgeting, and grant management processes.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with multiple teams.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, and provide variance reporting and forecasting.
• Coordinates work with internal stakeholders across staff functions.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as the Voices technology coordinator and optimize grant-related systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contribute to operational planning for grant-making efforts through system enhancements.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as a team lead.
