Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to lead complex, multi-million-dollar grant programs. You will coordinate budgets, ensure compliance, and act as a liaison across program strategy, finance, and operations to deliver impactful grant outcomes.

Home-based work is available. The role includes mentoring staff, driving process improvements, and coordinating with multiple teams to meet funder expectations and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Experience with grant management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with leadership teams.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity and provide variance reporting.
• Coordinates work with internal stakeholders across staff functions to ensure policy alignment.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as the Voices technology coordinator to optimize systems for grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to operational planning for grant-making through system enhancements.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members; may act as team lead.
