Description du poste

Reports To: Senior Leadership Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site).

Position Overview

GLOBAL OPS is seeking an experienced, senior-level grants professional to lead the company's grant activities from opportunity identification through award, implementation, and closeout. This role owns the full grant lifecycle for GLOBAL OPS clients, including grant applications, post-award grants management, compliance and risk assessment, and the client relationships that grant work depends on. The Senior Grants Manager will serve as the company's subject‑matter expert on grants. They will advise leadership and clients on funding strategy, evaluate the risk and fit of each opportunity, and use grant services as a driver of client growth for GLOBAL OPS. This is a senior, hands‑on role. The successful candidate will set strategy and standards for the grants function while personally writing, reviewing, and submitting high‑priority applications and managing complex awards.

Grant Applications
  • Identify, research, and evaluate federal, state, local, and private funding opportunities relevant to GLOBAL OPS clients, including security‑related programs.
  • Lead the development of competitive grant applications, including narratives, budgets, budget justifications, project plans, and supporting documentation.
  • Personally write and edit high‑priority applications and review all applications before submission for quality, accuracy, and compliance with funder requirements.
  • Manage the grants calendar, submission deadlines, registrations, and required certifications.
  • Coordinate input from clients, internal teams, consultants, and vendors to assemble complete, on‑time submissions.
  • Track outcomes, debrief on unsuccessful applications, and apply lessons learned to future submissions.
Grants Management
  • Oversee awarded grants from award acceptance through implementation, reporting, and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with award terms and conditions, applicable federal regulations, and funder‑specific requirements.
  • Manage post‑award activities, including budget tracking, procurement coordination, vendor communication, documentation, and modifications or extensions.
  • Prepare and submit programmatic and financial reports, working with Finance on drawdowns, reimbursements, and cost allowability.
  • Maintain complete, audit‑ready files for every award.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and tracking systems for the grants function.
Risk Assessment
  • Assess each opportunity before pursuit, including eligibility, client readiness, match requirements, capacity to deliver, and reputational considerations.
  • Conduct risk reviews of active awards to identify compliance gaps, schedule delays, budget variances, and audit exposure.
  • Support clients with the risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments that security grant applications often require, coordinating with GLOBAL OPS Security Operations.
  • Recommend and implement controls to reduce compliance, financial, and delivery risk across the portfolio.
  • Escalate significant risks to leadership with clear options and recommendations.
Grants Client Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on grant matters, from initial consultation through closeout.
  • Advise clients on funding options, eligibility, timelines, and their obligations as applicants and award recipients.
  • Lead onboarding for grant engagements and set clear expectations for documentation, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Provide regular, professional updates on application and award status.
  • Resolve client concerns promptly and ensure commitments are delivered.
  • Build long‑term relationships that position GLOBAL OPS as the client's ongoing grants partner.
Client Growth
  • Grow the grants client base by identifying prospective clients who could benefit from GLOBAL OPS grant services.
  • Manage grant prospects through the sales cycle, from inquiry through proposal, follow‑up, and closing.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and pricing for grant services in coordination with leadership.
  • Expand existing relationships through additional funding cycles and related GLOBAL OPS security services.
  • Represent GLOBAL OPS at conferences, workshops, and outreach events, and support grant‑focused marketing.
  • Maintain accurate client and pipeline records in the CRM and report on growth to leadership.
Leadership & Cross-Division Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership with concise, regular reporting on the grants pipeline, awards, risks, and revenue.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop grants staff and coordinate outside consultants.
  • Set quality standards for grant writing and grants management across the company.
  • Prioritize workloads during high-volume periods and step in directly on time‑sensitive applications.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Training, and senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in grant writing and grants management, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
  • A demonstrated track record of successful awards, with examples of funded applications.
  • Strong knowledge of federal grant processes and post‑award compliance, including 2 CFR 200.
  • Experience managing grant budgets, reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments for grant opportunities and active awards.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and contributing to business growth.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications, awards, clients, and deadlines at once.
Preferred
  • Experience with security, public safety, homeland security, or emergency management funding programs.
  • Experience working with nonprofits, schools, houses of worship, or local governments.
  • Familiarity with SAM.gov and Grants.gov.
  • Grant professional certification (such as GPC) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field; master's a plus.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned grants professional who is equally strong at strategy and execution. In a single day, they might assess whether a new funding opportunity is worth pursuing, finalize a grant narrative, walk a client through post‑award reporting, flag a compliance risk to leadership, and meet with a prospective client about their funding needs. This person brings deep grants expertise, sound judgment about risk, and a client‑first approach, and sees every successful grant as a way to grow GLOBAL OPS's client relationships.
