Job summary

Inside Philanthropy seeks a Manager, US Trusts & Foundations to oversee a diverse portfolio of institutional grants and donor stewardship, coordinating with country programs and MSI departments to ensure thorough narrative reports, budgets, and spending. Based in Washington, DC with possible remote work for exceptional candidates; occasional travel to DC required.

You will lead grant approvals, proposals for $60m+ annual funding, and strengthen fundraising processes and donor relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum five to seven (5 - 7) years of fundraising and/or project management with/from US foundations.
• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, international development, public health, or business administration.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience working in international program management, business development, or international development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the MSI US portfolio of 35+ institutional grants with current and new US-based private foundations, including reports.
• Coordinate grant approvals and donor reports with country programs and MSI departments to ensure accuracy.
• Manage the US proposal development process for $60m+ in annual funding and ensure alignment with donor requirements.
• Oversee grant receipt procedures including review of contracts and communication with country programs.
• Maintain CRM data entry, donor report schedules, and grant payment tracking for foundation donors.
• Support engagement with current and prospective donors and develop an engagement strategy to increase funding.
• Build relationships across MSI to enable cross-team collaboration and improve fundraising processes.
