Job summary

The North American Development Bank (NADBank) seeks a Senior Accountant Analyst to support the integrity and continuity of the bank's accounting function, with emphasis on grants, reimbursements, and reporting for third-party funding sources.

The role also provides cross-functional accounting support in loans, investments, and financial reporting, contributing to audit readiness and the overall accuracy of US GAAP financial statements. Bachelors in accounting required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA license or CPA-eligible status preferred.
• Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience including grants, financial reporting, or complex accounting areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures grants and third-party funded programs are accurately accounted for and reimbursements comply with requirements.
• Delivers monthly financial and analytical reports by grant and program for departments and funders.
• Prepares and delivers annual Federal Financial Reports (FFRs) to EPA for each grant.
• Acts as secondary accounting contact for third-party fund providers for grant reviews, audits, and reporting.
• Prepares monthly payroll allocations and reconciliations for grant-funded personnel costs.
• Ensures grant-funded payroll costs and IDC are calculated per approved IDC rate.
• Contributes to the preparation of the Bank’s financial statements related to grants and grant revenue.
• Strengthens cross-functional accounting support in loans, investments and reporting.
• Supports Accounting Manager with loan transactions reconciliation monthly.
• Supports investment transactions reconciliation to GL monthly and month-end reports.
• Back-up to payroll operations to ensure timely processing.
• Prepares financial statements and related schedules for management and Board per US GAAP.
