Job summary

NACBA in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced accounting professional to analyze data and produce internal management and external project-level reports. You will ensure compliance with Federal and State rules and District policies for funds such as General Fund, Capital Project Fund, Grants Fund, ASB, Trust Fund and more, while maintaining clear records and accounts.

Responsibilities include processing cash receipts, reconciling accounts, preparing journal vouchers, and supporting audit readiness

Qualifications

Three (3) years of accounting experience in a computerized environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or closely-related field.
Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or closely related field desired; or equivalent experience.
CPA or other financial professional qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Analyze data and produce internal management and external project-level reports.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations and District policies for all funds.
Maintain records and accounts; provide accounting information for management decision-making.
Prepare journal vouchers and reconcile accounts; monitor and reconcile various fund activities.
Process cash receipts, stop pay/warrant reissues, and monitor grant, trust, and capital project funds.
Assist with payroll, HR, and technology-related accounting issues and training.
