Job summary

State of Minnesota is seeking a Grants Coordinator to administer and oversee Homeland Security grant programs, including UASI, NSGP, and OPSG. You will ensure compliance, provide guidance to the HSEM division, and coordinate with state agencies and local governments to strengthen preparedness.

The role demands experience in grant management, policy interpretation, and effective stakeholder communication. This is a day shift, hybrid telework eligible position based in Blaine, MN.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of grant administration experience including application, awards, compliance monitoring, reporting and closeout.
• Knowledge of fiscal and programmatic management of grants and contracts.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills for stakeholder communication.
• Ability to work with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Administer, coordinate, and oversee Homeland Security grant programs (UASI, NSGP, OPSG).
• Ensure compliance with federal/state requirements and provide guidance to the HSEM division.
• Serve as primary point of contact for designated grant programs and assist state agencies and local governments.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to strengthen preparedness and capabilities.
• Support program implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities.
