Job summary

Rutgers University seeks a Senior Grants Administrator for the Finance Office at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This role manages pre-award and post-award administration of grants, clinical trials, and other restricted funds across Clinical Departments and Institutes.

You will coordinate grant submissions, guide faculty and staff, assist with budgets, and collaborate with ORSP and ORFS to ensure timely account setup and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a relevant field with four years of sponsored programs experience.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing sponsored projects and clinical trials.
• Experience with proposal development and post-award administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submission of grant and contract proposals to diverse sponsors.
• Provide guidance on grant applications to faculty, administrators and staff; prepare budgets with PIs.
• Assist with internal policies for grant proposals and applications and monitor project accounts in Oracle.
• Produce budget status reports and ensure expenditures are allowable and accurate.
• Monitor salaries charged to restricted accounts and avoid deficits.
