Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or grants; grants/fund accounting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, pivot tables included.
• Hybrid work setup; DTLA office on Tue/Thu.
• GAAP and fund accounting knowledge.
• Experience with budget-to-actual analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong accounting judgement and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for programmatic teams and grantees, providing solutions.
• Build & own grantee relationships to drive contracting, payment setup, invoicing, reporting, and compliance.
• Lead technical assistance for grantees with coaching, office hours, and templates on invoicing, budgeting, documentation, and reporting.
• Manage grantee Help Desk for finance matters; document activity for County reporting.
• Coordinate across Finance, Program, Grants, Legal/Contracts, and Data to move awards from selection to payment.
• Own a master tracker of all grantees with award/contract status, budgets, and banking details.
• Drive grantee onboarding from award notification through full contract execution, ensuring paperwork is complete before payment.
• Collect and review fiscal setup docs (signed agreements, W-9s, ACH/banking details).
• Ensure audit-ready records before any disbursement; maintain accurate grantee records.
• Own the end-to-end grantee payment process (invoice intake, Sage Intacct upload, AP coordination).
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliation schedules, and disbursement summaries for leadership and auditors.
