Job summary

A.M. Crawford, Inc. is seeking a Lead Consultant II to guide complex grant development for nonprofit clients across the U.S. The role blends strategy, fundraising, and proposal execution in a hybrid setup (Gainesville or San Francisco).

You will manage multiple contracts, oversee teams, and drive ROI from grants. You’ll leverage digital tools to streamline processes and forge strong client relationships. The position requires senior-level proposal writing and leadership experience in nonprofit

Qualifications

• Five years of dedicated proposal writing experience in federal business development, nonprofit fundraising, or corporate consulting.
• Experience managing or supervising staff.
• Ability to lead through the proposal lifecycle from opportunity identification to post-submission management.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Proficiency with AMC’s and clients’ software platforms and AI/digital productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination with a portfolio of workforce development clients to meet growth or impact goals through grant fundraising.
• Research and identify potential funders and grant opportunities to develop actionable funding strategies.
• Analyze solicitations and develop targeted win strategies for proposals, budgeting, and funder cultivation.
• Lead the proposal writing and budgeting process, including coordinating with external grant writers as needed.
• Manage client relationships, updates on submissions, and ensure return on investment from grant funds raised.
• Supervise at least one direct report and provide day-to-day guidance and feedback.
