Job summary

Florida International University is seeking a Grant Administrator IV to oversee the pre-award and post-award administration of large, complex federal grants and contracts for an assigned research unit. The incumbent provides senior-level fiscal, administrative, and compliance support for a multi-year U.S.

Department of Education funded program supporting statewide professional learning in American History and Civics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and six or more years of grant/contract administration experience, or CRA with six years, or an equivalent mix.
• Experience administering federal grants preferred, especially DOE-funded awards.
• Completion of FIU RACC within 3 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pre-award and post-award administration of large, complex grants and contracts for the assigned department or research area.
• Develops grant budgets and guides faculty and administrators on fiscal, administrative, and compliance matters related to sponsored programs.
• Monitors expenditures, prepares financial reports, and evaluates allowability and allocability of costs.
• Coordinates procurement and contracting related to grant-funded programs with consultants, evaluators, and service providers.
• Supports planning, reporting, and adherence to approved scopes of work, timelines, and performance measures.
