Job summary

Outreach Development Corporation is seeking a Senior Grant Accountant in Richmond Hill, NY to oversee financial management for government, foundation, and other restricted grants. You’ll ensure expenditures align with budgets, prepare timely reports, and support audits.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of accounting, including 3+ years in grant funding, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. This role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with three years in grant/contract nonprofit or government funding.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with grant reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting and reporting for an assigned portfolio of government and privately funded grants and contracts.
• Review grant agreements, budgets, amendments, funding requirements, and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare grant spending projections and monthly grant-to-GL reconciliations.
• Support audits, SEFA preparation, and grant closeouts with documentation.
