Job summary

A community development corporation in New York seeks a Senior Accountant for grants and contracts management. Responsibilities include processing claims, ensuring compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of non-profit accounting experience and an accounting or finance degree. Qualifications

• At least 5 years progressive senior level accounting experience in non-profit accounting.
• Experience with governmental programs including DHCR, DYCD, HRA.
• Experience preparing Federal Awards schedules for audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial activities for grants/contracts and ensure compliance.
• Prepare monthly contracts/grants claims in accordance with requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies for contracts.
