Job summary

Bunge in Chester, Montana is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee grain origination, trading, and business development at this location. You will lead a team of merchandisers, partner with Operations to ensure safety and profitability, and drive growth through strategic planning and strong customer engagement.

You will manage budgets and forecasts, monitor market trends, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with producers and customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or MBA in relevant fields preferred.
Experience leading merchandisers or similar teams.
Experience in grain origination or commodity trading is preferred.
Strong communication, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee grain origination and trading activities at the location.
Execute commercial strategies to meet regional volume, margin, and profitability goals.
Manage facility financials including budgeting and forecasting.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandisers.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with Operations Manager for safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
Build relationships with customers, producers, and industry partners.
Negotiate contracts and develop tailored solutions to satisfy customers.
