Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Commercial Manager in Montana to oversee grain origination, trading activities, and business development at a specific location. You will lead merchandisers, partner with Operations Managers, and drive profitability through strategic planning and customer engagement.

The role requires 3–5 years in grain origination or related trading, MBA preferred, with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; MBA in Marketing, Finance, Ag Business, Ag Economics or Economics preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in grain origination, commodity trading, or related roles with leadership track record.
• Aggressive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communications, computer and public relations skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; P&L management experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grain origination and trading activities at the location.
• Execute commercial strategies to meet regional goals for volume, margin, and profitability.
• Manage facility financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and new trades.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and risk mitigation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandisers.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide development opportunities.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Collaborate on capacity planning, logistics, and inventory management.
• Support safety program implementation in line with standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, producers, and partners.
• Negotiate contracts and develop tailored solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
