Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of infrastructure construction experience.
• 5+ years involved with management of SCDOT projects.
• 5+ years leadership experience.
• Must obtain a negative drug test prior to hire and maintain it.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and provisions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, crews and equipment.
• Ability to resolve delays before impacting critical path.
• GPS devices setup and programming capability.
• Background checks per SBCC standards.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to Grading Area Manager.
• Operate heavy equipment including dozers and excavators.
• Constructs and grades roads, pads, and retention ponds to specs.
• Manage employees and equipment to maintain production goals.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate trucking needs with trucking management.
• Perform equipment inspections and report utilization daily.
• Produce and approve SCDOT-compliant daily logs.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, and testing firms.
• Monitor project schedule and budget performance.
• Maintain quality control and equipment utilization.
• Maintain clean, safe job sites and SBCC safety rules.
