Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management.
• Three (3) years of engineering or construction management work experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Helps ensure projects are properly staffed.
• Supervises field engineers and technicians to ensure sampling/testing requirements and QA specs are met.
• Verifies construction activity is documented by field inspectors and engineers.
• Verifies quantities measured for payment to the contractor are accurate.
• Assists with survey verification.
• Monitors assigned projects for contract compliance.
• Ensures right-of-way agreements are followed during construction.
• Assists with contract administration and submittal reviews.
• Supports project closeout and meetings with contractors.
• Represents SCDOT to resolve construction conflicts and protect department interests.
