Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Graphics Shader Compiler Engineer to join our GPU Software team in Redmond. You will design and optimize core compiler components for graphics drivers and SPIR-V tooling, collaborating across disciplines to push GPU performance for AI, graphics, and compute workloads.

The role requires a strong background in compilers, C/C++, and parallel programming, with hands-on LLVM experience and shader code generation for modern GPUs.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; PhD strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with compilers.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and deep understanding of parallel programming models.
  • Experience with compiler optimizations, especially with LLVM infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement significant parts of the graphics shader compiler.
  • Analyze performance and design/implement new optimizations.
  • Collaborate with global teams to coordinate improvements and problem resolutions.
