Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Principal Systems Software Engineer to help build and evolve the low‑level systems software and platform‑management capabilities powering next-generation GPU infrastructure. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of software, firmware, hardware, and large‑scale cloud.

You will own BMC/service‑processor software, platform management, firmware lifecycle, telemetry, power management, and fleet operations, collaborating with silicon, firmware, hardware,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in system software and firmware development.
• Strong background in embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with Linux-based development and debugging.
• Ability to design robust platform firmware and management interfaces.
• Proven track record in debugging across hardware and software boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BMC, service-processor, and platform-management software for GPU and server infrastructure.
• Develop host management, telemetry, power control, and system diagnostics capabilities.
• Create secure firmware‑management and update workflows across multi‑vendor platforms.
• Define interfaces between firmware, hardware, OS, drivers, and higher‑level services.
• Lead root-cause analysis and cross-team collaboration for platform reliability and serviceability.
