Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hardware Engineering seeks a hands-on technical leader to develop AI/GPU, compute, and storage platforms. This senior IC will own system-level decisions and guide cross-functional teams from platform definition to production readiness, onsite at the Oracle campus in Santa Clara, CA.

The role demands deep expertise in hardware architectures, BIOS/BMC, Linux diagnostics, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, implementation, integration, and validation of GPU and compute platforms.
• Own requirements, architectural tradeoffs, risk resolution, validation strategy, and release criteria.
• Author system-level hardware specifications and configuration guides.
• Lead design reviews across architecture, schematics, board layout, mechanical design, thermal management, power delivery, signal integrity, and firmware.
• Drive platform bring-up and debugging across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Lead system characterization and performance evaluation against requirements and drive improvements.
• Define telemetry, diagnostics, error reporting, and in-service monitoring with cloud teams.
• Evaluate processors, accelerators, memory, storage, networking, and components for future platforms.
• Coordinate with partners, ODMs, suppliers for production readiness.
• Lead root-cause analysis across development, manufacturing, deployment, and fleet operations.
• Mentor engineers across hardware, firmware, systems engineering, and validation.
• Communicate platform status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to leadership.
