Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior GPU Firmware/Software Engineer to join the Data Center Firmware Application team. You will enable AMD Instinct accelerators on next-generation server platforms across Cloud, HPC, and OEM segments. The role blends hardware bring-up with software optimization in a hands-on, cross-functional environment.

You will work with customers and engineering teams to deliver high-performance firmware and driver solutions while ensuring scalable, reliable deployments in data centers.

Qualifications

Experience in firmware and embedded software development.
Strong knowledge of system-level debugging and hardware bring-up.
Familiarity with GPU architectures and boot processes.
Proficiency in C/C++, scripting, and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with OEM/ODM partners on bring-up, validation and deployment.
Debug firmware, hardware and driver issues; lead root-cause investigations.
Develop tools to analyze CPU/GPU performance and correlate with hardware.
Optimize AI software stack across hardware and software layers.
Support manufacturing and screening tests for reliability at scale.
Create technical documentation and training materials.
