Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Lead for its DC GPU Firmware team.

You will be the technical authority driving modular, high‑quality firmware for AMD EPYC servers and data center products, mentoring engineers and shaping CI and development processes. You will work across architecture, firmware QA, silicon validation, and customer‑facing teams to deliver integrated firmware solutions, with a track record of shipping complex embedded software on Linux/RTOS

Qualifications

Strong C/C++ development skills with object‑oriented design awareness.
Experience customizing firmware for different platforms & features.
Prior experience in customer‑facing/applications engineering is a plus.
Architecting, designing and developing complex system/infrastructure software for embedded networking on Linux/RTOS.
Deep understanding of full product life cycle and development methods (Agile/Waterfall).
Ability to drive multi‑geo projects with remote teams and mentor others.

Responsibilities

Lead embedded firmware development and QA for enterprise server products.
Own program outcomes across architecture, design, development and debugging of firmware.
Collaborate with Platform and SW Architecture to bring up BIOS/firmware on Embedded SoC.
Coordinate with HW/Silicon Validation to verify embedded features in silicon IP.
Guide engineers through design, code and licensing reviews (OSS & closed‑source).
Provide feedback to Enterprise Product Management and AMD technology teams.
Support field requests and escalations from customer applications engineering.
Mentor team members to grow technical and soft skills and drive AMD objectives.
