Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an exceptional Senior System Software Engineer to join our GPU System Software team in Santa Clara. You will oversee the lifecycle of GPU feature development, from concept to production, focusing on display features and energy efficiency for consumer products.

You will define and implement display technology using DP, HDMI, and eDP, drive optimizations across teams, and influence architecture specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in system software or related field.
• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering and related field.
• Strong programming skills in C, in depth knowledge of low level interfaces.
• Solid background in operating system internals, device driver, real-time embedded OS, algorithms and data structures.
• Must be able to work closely with hardware designers and other driver engineers to create new features and solutions.
• Background and strength in complex system-level debugging
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• Capability to achieve objectives under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Define, POC, design, and develop display features based on VESA Display Port standards like DP 2.1, HDMI, and eDP.
• Drive and resolve complex optimization strategies independently across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
• Influence next-generation GPU/SoC and Platform architecture by creating internal architecture specifications and design specifications.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with local and remote teams in addition to driving interaction with OEM/ODM partners.
