Job summary

Bold Business is seeking a design-driven, highly technical Senior Workplace Design Specialist to lead complex design scopes, guide strategy, and serve as a key resource for GSA, public sector, and government contract projects.

You will mentor junior designers, coordinate with sales leadership, government stakeholders, and internal teams to produce innovative workspace solutions, space plans, and polished visuals that meet compliance and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design (FIDER/CIDA-accredited) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in complex commercial interiors or government project work.
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency; CET Designer/ProjectSpec experience.
• Strong knowledge of GSA requirements and government processes.
• Highly autonomous with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of CET drawings, furniture plans, specs, and 3D visuals.
• Coordinate GSA-compliant space planning with codes (ADA, LEED, WELL).
• Produce installation drawings and contract-aligned specification packages.
• Perform field verifications, inventories, and resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with Account Executives and stakeholders to shape project vision.
• Represent design in client meetings and government presentations.
• Provide updates to Design Managers and Sales leadership; manage risks.
