Bold Business, a premier U.S. furniture dealer, seeks a design-driven Senior Federal & Workplace Design Specialist to lead complex projects for GSA and government contracts.

Translate client requirements into compliant, high-performance workplaces and guide strategy across teams. You will develop CET drawings, furniture plans, 3D visuals, and installation packages, ensuring ADA/LEED/WELL and government standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a FIDER/CIDA-accredited program or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in complex commercial interiors or government projects.
• Advanced AutoCAD and CET Designer/ProjectSpec proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of systems furniture and GSA/government processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead CET drawings, furniture plans, specs, high-quality 3D visuals, and presentations.
• Coordinate space planning with codes, ADA, LEED, WELL, and government rules.
• Create installation drawings and contract-aligned specification packages.
• Perform field verifications, inventories, and resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with Account Executives, VP of Sales, and government stakeholders.
• Represent design in client meetings and government presentations.
• Provide updates to Design Managers and Sales leadership on direction and risks.
• Mentor Designer I/II through reviews and process coaching.
• Drive design standards, workflows, and quality control.
• Share market insights on product innovations and sustainability.
