Job summary

The Mosaic Company seeks a Government and Stakeholder Relations Manager to lead local and state policy, regulatory and stakeholder strategies in Florida. You will identify issues, craft advocacy plans, and engage diverse organizations to promote Mosaic’s mission while protecting its license to operate.

You will develop and execute comprehensive government relations programs, collaborate with communications, and guide cross-functional teams, including mentoring 2+ direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Journalism or related field.
• 8+ years of public affairs and government relations experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with strategic planning with measurable goals/outcomes.
• 3+ years’ experience with project management including briefing documents and presentations.
• Experience managing people preferred.
• Strong experience with stakeholder and government relations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with presentation and listening abilities.
• Ability to communicate persuasively about highly technical issues to employees, external allies, and the public.
• Diplomacy skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to create partnerships across a matrixed organization.
• Strong business acumen and excellent follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and understand emerging local/state issues and advance Mosaic’s public policy position.
• Develop and execute government relations plans and internal reports for leaders.
• Collaborate with Communications and Public Affairs to engage stakeholders and manage license to operate.
• Advise leadership on public affairs strategy and deliver broad corporate engagement plans.
• Develop and mentor 2+ direct reports to meet company priorities.
