Job summary

Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company is seeking a hands-on Senior Government Cost Accountant to support cost accounting and compliance activities underlying federal contracts. The role will calculate and analyze indirect rates, maintain compliant cost allocations, and prepare documentation for audits.

Responsibilities include performing government cost accounting per FAR Part 31 and CAS, analyzing fringe, overhead, and G&A rates, and supporting incurred cost submissions and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of government cost accounting experience (Senior level) or 3+ years (Cost Accountant).
• Working knowledge of FAR and CAS in cost allocation and indirect-rate development.
• Advanced Excel skills and audit-ready documentation.
• Ability to analyze detailed financial data and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform government cost accounting per FAR Part 31 and CAS.
• Calculate and analyze fringe, overhead, and G&A indirect rates.
• Segregate direct and indirect costs and document allowability.
• Support annual incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rate calculations.
• Set up and maintain project costs in the ERP system and reconcile to GL.
• Prepare cost-impact analyses and support pricing for proposals.
• Compile documentation for DCAA and internal audits.
• Monitor timekeeping and labor distribution for government contracting.
