Job summary

Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company is seeking an Inventory & Supply Chain Accountant to own inventory valuation, standard costing, cost of goods sold, and inventory reconciliations across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. You will partner with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure accurate cost capture and reliable financial reporting.

This role supports federal contracts and regulatory requirements (DSCSA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years in inventory or cost accounting.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency reconciling inventory subledgers to GL and using ERP costing modules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perpetual inventory records and valuation for all inventory categories.
• Develop and update standard costs for inventory items and manufacturing operations.
• Perform variance analysis for price, usage, labor, and overhead; investigate drivers and actions.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and document discrepancies.
• Calculate and support monthly COGS reporting.
• Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventories with reconciliations.
• Establish and maintain excess/obsolete inventory reserves and LCNRV adjustments.
• Capitalize and allocate landed costs (freight, duties, acquisition costs).
• Partner with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing to improve cost capture.
• Support government cost accounting for inventory allocated to federal contracts.
• Align financial inventory records with regulatory requirements including DSCSA.
