Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Atlanta seeks a Contracts Specialist with extensive U.S. Government and military contracting experience, particularly in subcontracting under prime government awards.

A JD or equivalent is strongly preferred and experience drafting, negotiating, and executing complex government contracts is required. You will interpret FAR/DFARS, manage risk, align subcontract terms with policy, and support flow-downs across SSOW, PWS, IDIQs and GTAs within SAP Ariba and related

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in U.S. Government contracting.
• Strong preference for JD or advanced degree.
• Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS, SSOW, PWS, IDIQs, GTAs.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and execute government contracts and subcontracts.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts ensuring FAR/DFARS and prime contract alignment.
• Assess and mitigate high-risk provisions; negotiate necessary modifications.
• Provide guidance to internal teams to ensure compliance and minimize exposure.
• Interpret prime contract requirements and advise on subcontractor obligations under federal regulations.
• Maintain documentation of negotiated positions and compliance actions.
