Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Corporate Attorney to join its in-house Legal Department in Idaho Falls. The role provides sophisticated counsel on government contracts, federal procurement, and real property matters arising from DOE-funded operations.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a 9x80 schedule and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. JD, active bar, and 5–10+ years in government contracts are preferred; DOE clearance ability is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar in any U.S. jurisdiction with Idaho admission possible.
• 5+ years in government contracts/federal procurement law (mid-level) or 10+ years (senior).
• Knowledge of FAR/DEAR contracts principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal advice on federal procurement and contracting lifecycle.
• Advise on prime contract compliance under DOE/M&O contracts.
• Support real property matters, leases, easements, and related agreements.
• Counsel on compliance with laws governing contractor operations and data rights.
• Assist with bid protests, contract claims, and disputes before relevant boards/claims courts.
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of government-related agreements.
• Monitor developments in federal procurement law and DOE policy.
• Support internal compliance programs and ethics initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal Department on cross-functional matters.
