Job summary

N3B Los Alamos, LLC is seeking an in-house counsel to provide comprehensive legal services, including government contracts, labor and employment, and environmental compliance, reporting to the General Counsel. The role includes drafting opinions, reviewing contracts, and supporting senior management to ensure operations stay within applicable laws.

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor and be admitted to the New Mexico Bar or eligible elsewhere, with at least three years of related experience,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in NM or eligibility to qualify within six months of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of experience directly related to the duties; at least 3 years as a senior attorney for a contractor to the U.S. Government.
• U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and guidance to senior management on DOE contractor matters including federal procurement and government contract law (FAR/DEAR compliance, contract administration, cost allowability, performance risk).
• Advise on labor and employment matters including discipline, investigations, wage/hour compliance, and employee relations.
• Support environmental regulatory compliance for legacy cleanup operations and interpret/state/federal environmental statutes and permits.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, policies, and regulatory submissions; prepare written and oral opinions.
