Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC seeks an Accountant III to perform professional accounting duties for indirect departments, including month-end close, variance analysis, and budget preparation for DCAA-compliant plans.

The role requires a BS in Accounting or Finance with 4 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in government contracting. Proficiency in Costpoint, Cognos, TM1, Excel, and Word is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance with 4 years professional-level accounting experience.
• Includes 2 years Government contracting with multi-location employer.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR and CAS.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close functions including preparing and/or reviewing of journal entries for month-end close ensuring transactions are reasonable and in compliance with Business Processes, GAAP, CAS, and FAR.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis for indirect departments, comparing actual results to plan and forecast, with explanations for variances.
• Provide reports identifying variances and other reports as requested to management.
• Prepares 3-year plan, forecasts, and capital budgets for indirect departments to include preparation of basis of estimates for DCAA.
• Partner with Human Resources and Payroll to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
